Control based on pallet identification by means of RFID and surface temperature measurement with infrared sensor.
IDFOOD has successfully completed the project for automatic temperature control for the Catalan company Joaquim Albertí SA. This control is based on detection of the pallet by means of RFID tags and surface temperature measurement by means of a long-range infrared sensor. This system has been installed in all loading docks of the company.
With this project, Joaquim Albertí SA, owner of the brand "Alta Charcutería La Selva" has once again shown its commitment to quality control in all its processes and products, taking an important step in complying with IFS and BRC legislation, for the regulation of quality management systems in different areas, such as: personnel responsibilities, personal hygiene, raw material control, formulation control, management of foreign bodies, traceability, internal audits, recall and product recovery and corrective actions.
The project has been approved by the Catalan Association of innovation for the pork meat sector INNOVACC, as part of a "collaborative project for the standardization of information to be transmitted for traceability in farms, slaughterhouses, cutting rooms, and manufacturing companies of the sector ". INNOVACC has also assisted the company Joaquim Albertí SA in obtaining the resources for this project and in the corresponding procedures.
INNOVACC represents the group of the Catalan pork meat companies and aims to encourage competitiveness in the industry through innovation and cooperation.
